DESCRIPTION

The site selection effort covered numerous island locations in the South Pacific for the Tracking Stations while working closely in conjunction with JAXA and Telecommunication Systems who AIC teams with on the JAXA program.

Provided all design, civil, structural, and architectural including surveys, both skyline and site, geo-technical site investigations. Construction of the stations include 5.5m tracking antennas on reinforced concrete foundations, fabrication/installation of Modular Containerized Operation, Administrative Storage.

The Palau Station features included concrete paved access road from sea level to the site on an adjacent mountain top through almost impenetrable jungle. Provided utility and electrical power for both United States and Japanese electrical systems and communication gear systems at all facilities.
